About

Hello everyone!

Writing under the pseudonym of Ondina Maria, I was born and raised in lovely Porto, Portugal, where I currently live and work. I'm passionate about food (both cooking and eating), traveling, photography, writing and reading, interior decoration, music, yoga, art and architecture, jewelry and antiques.

I'm the creative mind behind "Coentros&Rabanetes", my first food-blog, and I have recently decided to begin this new project, "Maria Nabiça", dedicated to the healthy (I try!), seasonal and sustainable food I enjoy cooking and eating. Apart from my new recipes you will also be able to find some of my all-time favorites originally posted at Coentros&Rabanetes.

Food-wise I am what nowadays is called a "flexitarian": I eat a little bit of everything in good measure, which means that fish, meat and sweet treats are also included in my meals, though reserved for special occasions. The Mediterranean and Atlantic Diets I grew up with are the basis for my lifestyle, where eating is always associated with an active and social way of living!

My mindset is focused on feeling good about myself and accepting me as I am, with my strengths and flaws (sometimes this is not easy, lol!), enjoying good, healthy food, the company of family and friends, staying active (I practice yoga (hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa, and aerial) as well as aerial workout), traveling to not-tourist-overcrowded-places and photographing as much as I can.

So, please join me in my culinary adventures, I really hope you like my work and I do appreciate you being here!

Sincerely yours,
Ondina Maria
